The way to Salvation and Freedom from Sin!

Being a Christian is only about one thing and nothing else, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. No one can make that decision for you, no church membership qualifies as a replacement, and no baptism supersedes the power of the blood that Jesus shed. Christ alone is the road to salvation.

The Bible does not have a pre-outlined sinner’s prayer that you have to recite for salvation. It is an acknowledgement that you are a sinner, and that the penalty of that sin is death and an eternity in the lake of fire, forever separated from God. However, God is not willing that any should perish and made a way to escape the penalty of sin. God sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for your sins.

You have to believe that Jesus Christ is and was the Son of God, that He lived a perfect life on this earth, and died on the cross in your place to pay the penalty of your sins. You have to believe that He died, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Eternal life with Jesus Christ in Heaven is only available because of that sacrifice that He made, there is no other way. In order to be saved from an eternity in Hell, you have to call out to the Lord to save you and be willing to accept the gift that God is offering. It is a personal belief of those things in your heart and a willingness to submit to Jesus Christ which grant you your salvation.

The Bible tell us that our sin separates us from God because He is a Holy God and we are an unholy people.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; [Romans 3:23]

We deserve to go to Hell because of our sins before a Holy God.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. [Romans 6:23]

Our sin ultimately destines us to an eternity separated from God. The Bible promises in Revelations that everyone who came into this world will give an account for the way they lived their life. Those who are not found written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. [Revelation 20:11-15]

God does not want that for any person on earth; He wants us to repent from our sins and seek Him. The scripture is clear that the lake of fire was never meant for mankind.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: [Matthew 25:41]

God’s love for us is greater than His hatred for all of the world’s sin. Jesus Christ is God’s answer for our sins to restore fellowship with Him.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [John 3:16-18]

God is very clear through His word in that He loves everyone and that it is His desire to see everyone repent of their sins.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. [2 Peter 3:9]

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. [1 Timothy 2:4]

Unfortunately, many people have been deceived into thinking that their good works can save them from their sin. The Bible tells us that no one can earn salvation. Fortunately, God made a way of escape; that way is through Jesus Christ.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. [Ephesians 2:8-9]

God wants to give us the gift of eternal life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. [Romans 6:23]

In order to receive that gift, you have to be willing to accept it from God. That is done by placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. [Romans 10:13]

Salvation can only come through true belief and placing one’s faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [Romans 10:10]

Only the Word of God gives us the promise of salvation. It is by no other means and no other teaching.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. [Romans 10:17]
